Ramanathan Ramachandran

R Chandran is the author of The Snail Who Didn’t Want His Shell. He is the founder-director of ACT3 Theatrics, Singapore’s first professional theatre company and a playwright of more than 200 plays.

Together with his wife, he develops and runs Literacy Through Drama programmes with the aim of inculcating the joy for writing and experimenting with creative ideas
among children.

His published books include I Have Touched the Moon, A Leaf Named Nip Who Flipped, The World on Her Knees, and Makanplace, A Singapore Musical. Chandran is the father to two boys, oshua and Jivan.
