This is the third instalment of the Singapore Sporting Icons Series. In this book, other than interviews with 13 young sporting talents and their parents, it also includes interviews with other key stakeholders in the Singapore sporting scene. By the means of wide-ranging reports, the book provides readers with more voices and thus a more complete overview. These varying opinions and sentiments are collated into this book, giving contrasting perspectives but on a unified platform. Such a multifarious approach will more accurately portray the current circumstances of the local sports scene.
The 13 young sports talents featured in the book are Choo Tze Huang (golf), Sasha Christian (wakeboarding), Sean Lee (sailing), Ruth Ng (fencing), Valerie Pereira (athletics), Quah Ting Wen (swimming), Mohamed Saifuddin (silat), Zena Sim (table tennis), Jazreel Tan (bowling), Tao Li (swimming), Nicole and Tabitha Tay (gymnastics) and Teo Wee Chin (sailing).
