Description
The Curly Wurly Twins are out on the beach to have a good time, but soon realize that all is not fun in the sun. Join them in their mischievous antics and see how each one tries to get the other one into trouble.
The book is written to introduce the concept of twins to children and to highlight the fact that although they may look similar physically, their natures, likes and dislikes, personality and qualities can be extremely different. Being of the same age and stage of development, the competition between twins for love, attention and praise tends to be more than non-twin siblings.
It is important to realize that even though twins may be similar in a lot of ways, they are still unique and different in their identities. In this book, the differences in the personalities of twins are portrayed in a light-hearted fashion, where one character is shown to be dominant and the other slightly passive.
In this book, words of expression have been highlighted to portray the different emotions of the twin protagonists. This emphasizes the differences in their characteristics. While reading out loud to children, emphasis can be placed on these words of expression.
