Sharon is the author of What Sallamah Didn’t Know. Raised on a literary diet of Enid Blyton and Judy Blume, Sharon grew up wondering why the stories of people in our lives were not captured in books, when their stories were large enough to fill many magical pages in her childhood. Sharonâs curiosity resulted in a passion to get these voices heard, especially by our children, who have benefited from a diversity of cultures in their lives and cannot imagine the adults they love as children. Sharon has worked as an educator at primary, secondary and polytechnic levels, and as an actor and host on stage and television for a decade. She considers it an honour to be able to write about something so close to her heart.
