Ng Kwee Choo is an anthropologist by training. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from Sydney University in 1960 and was awarded a British Commonwealth Scholarship in 1962 to pursue a Master’s Degree at the London School of Economics. He was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth House Visiting Fellowship at Oxford University in 1983.
Kwee Choo was a member of the Singapore Government Administrative
Service and served in various senior positions: Students’ Adviser (Singapore High Commission in London), Chief of Protocol (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Director of Publicity (Ministry of Culture), Director of Administration (People’s Association) and Director of the National Community Leadership Training Institute.
He is passionate about teaching on the subject of leadership and has written several books and articles, including The Chinese in London, Singapore Students in the United Kingdom and Eire, How to be an Effective Leader, Community Centres and Local Leaders in Singapore and The Seven Principles of Effective Leadership.
