JOANNE LAI started her own financial planning at the age of 14, and was so successful that she paid for her own university education. Fully aware that financial wellness is within everyone’s grasp, she has dedicated herself to helping others achieve the financial stability that she has.
Joanne has more than ten years of experience in financial planning with IPP financial advisers. She specialises in comprehensive financial planning, particularly in investments, estate planning, and will writing. She has won numerous prominent awards and even attained the prestigious Certified Financial Planner (CFP), acclaimed to be the gold standard in financial planning. Over the years, she has partnered with many MNCs, SMEs, and hospitals to conduct educational talks for a wide range of people and guide them through the efficient use of their personal finances.
Caring for the underprivileged is one of Joanne’s main reasons for living and she volunteers her time partnering with The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund to teach underprivileged youth about financial management. As an Accredited Financial Counsellor and Financial Educator, she sets aside time to help people get out of debt in Singapore and Vietnam, creating opportunities for the poor to achieve financial wellness. Using financial resources garnered from her own dividend and rental income, she set up an ACTS Fund in Hue, Vietnam, for the underprivileged people.
