Joan, the African White Woman
by Kojo Busia, January 24, 2003
Joan was an African – at heart
She spoke like an African – softly and musically
She walked like an African – slowly and elegantly
She danced like an African – musically and rhythmically
She loved like an African – she had a large family and loved everyone
She lived like an African – every day was s gift for Joan; never missing a smile on her face
She died as an African – with her loved ones from all over the world coming to see her in her last days
May her golden African soul continue to shine throughout the continent
