Douglas O’Loughlin

Douglas O’Loughlin is the author of Facilitating Transformation: 12 strategies for creating extraordinary breakthroughs with groups. He runs Joy of Learning Consultants, which he started in Singapore in 1993. He fortuitously entered the world of facilitation more than 20 years ago whi le working at AT&T in the U.S., and has since facilitated workshops in more than 20 countries. His expertise is to consult, design and facilitate sessions in areas such as change, leadership/team/organization development, expansive/dynamic thinking, strategic planning, and facilitation.

He is also an adjunct facilitator and coach with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL), and is involved with learning communities all over the world. Douglas has also lectured for more than 10 years in various subjects that start with “O” (Organization Behavior, Development, Effectiveness, and Theory). He is currently working on his PhD in Organization Development, and lectures in the Masters of Management and Organization Development program, at Assumption University in Bangkok, Thailand. Originally from the New York/New Jersey area in the U.S., he currently resides in both Singapore and Bangkok. He is married to Christy. They don’t have any children or pets, but they share their life with a magical character Drax the Dragon.
